Wedding Photos

I would like to use the same photographer for my wedding.. do you know how soon they book up? I sent them an email and have not heard back yet. What is the best way to reach them? Your wedding looked beautiful, and congratulations!
Unfortunately we haven't been in close touch with SIB lately, so we're not sure what they're up to. We booked them maybe six months in advance, but I would allow more time than that - we essentially booked them first based on what days they were available, then booked everything else (including the venue) around their availability. Sara said her dad has been hearing the same thing as you from friends who he has pointed towards SIB - that they haven't been great at responding to emails lately. I think they were planning an extended trip to Europe for wedding photo work, so it's possible they're not even Stateside this summer. It seems like they can also get a little backed up in terms of work & photo processing, since they're so popular. I'd suggest emailing them again, but don't wait too long and have a backup plan - it's just a husband and wife team with no assistants, so it's not like there's a secretary sitting around responding to emails. Sorry I couldn't be more help, but good luck - if you can get them, they obviously do great work.
